Downtown continues to see momentum: a proposed seven-storey building is set to add 198 new rentals, and a recently permitted tower (as of July 20) will bring 255 more homes, including 67 units dedicated to students. The core is further evolving with an office-tower redevelopment, a historic-building conversion greenlit for 696 residences, ongoing event-park design, and an 18-unit luxury condo in progress.
If you commute through the core, be mindful of the five-block closure on 102nd Avenue, single-lane stretches on 87th Avenue, and reduced lanes on Jasper Avenue as construction advances. Looking ahead, major west LRT roadway work is set to wrap up in 2026, the Edgemont area is aiming for a year-end opening, and Terwillegar is on track for 2028.
